Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an review of claims about inappropriate behaviour towards young women.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, adding: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, encompassing a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
