The former president's Granddaughter Seeks Professional Tips from Tiger Woods Before LPGA Debut
The rising star maintains impressive social media following
Kai Trump will have numerous high-profile backers as she makes her professional golf debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, owns numerous courses worldwide and frequently competes against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa practically advised me to go out there and enjoy myself," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, making him rather occupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has played in a mere three competitions recently and maintains the 461st position in AJGA listings.
But she's able to get advice from golf legend, who is dating Vanessa.
"He represents the best player in the world," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive human being. He advised me to go out there, have fun, adapting to the flow."
She'll challenge several the biggest names in women's golf at this tournament, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai brings the sport to different demographics, especially among the next generation.
The young star has millions of followers and has started her own apparel and wellness brand.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
